Every guitar player wants good alternate picking skills because it is such a fundamentally useful technique. But, what also sets it apart from other techniques is that it has the steepest learning curve.

Become A Master Of Fast Flowing Lines
The legato technique has its name from the sound of flowing notes with no accents or rhythmic punctuation. The technique on a guitar is a blend of rare pick strokes combined with hammer-ons and pull-offs.
Legato is very often confused with just fretting the notes without picking them, which on an instrument with a lot of compression and/or distortion will come out quite clear and audible. But, if the instrument isn't set up for it, it will not work well enough to be usable in a musical context.

The Systematic Approach To Mastery
The core exercise in this program is what you need to, not only learn sweep picking at and incredible level, but to also build super human precision and accuracy.
There are tons of videos and courses available that will provide you with impressive sweep picking licks but this program has a very different focus: Teaching you the most effective and fastest way to complete sweep picking mastery.
It's all about how to go from one string to another and whether you are doing one-note-per-string arpeggios or scale runs, sweep picking is always an option. Mastering the sweep picking string shift will change the way you play, give you flexibility and power to produce any picking sound you want and it will give you the relaxed freedom you want.

So easy it's almost like cheating
Let's face it, tapping is and always will be the fastest way to produce notes on a guitar. With tapping you can reach inhumane levels of speed and play wide and big intervals at the same time. In this part of the program we will give you essential exercises that will make you a tapping master.
Two Tricks In This Bag
Another short cut to playing with huge intervals is string skipping and while this technique might seem daunting it isn't as hard as it seems. Use the simple exercises in this section to make string skipping a normal and natural thing for you and listen as your playing changes as a result.
Super legato session 1:
THE POWER TO IMPROVISE FAST RUNS
There's a huge distance between knowing and being able to play a lot of licks to being able to combine them on the spot. In my perspective this is the difference between the amateur and the pro: The ability to start a fast run and then to keep on playing while you change and improvise your way through the scale.
In this video and the next I'm going to give you "units of licks" that go together and that will enable you to improvise at lightning like speed. It looks and sounds like magic, but it doesn't require special abilities or talent to do it, just a different approach to practicing.
Super legato session 2:
MORE FAST RUNS AND LICKS
These two first licks videos are filled with licks that you can do with hammer-ons and pull-offs. We're still using the pick to change from string to string while the left hand deals with the rest.
The licks in these two videos are some of my favorite ones because they are the most comfortable to play. Your fingers will want to play them once you have them programmed in your nervous system.
There are so many licks here that you can pick the ones you like the most and focus on those until you have them handled.
Super legato session 3:
ARPEGGIO LICKS AND BLUES SCALE TERROR
In this video we'll utilize the special opportunities you get when you master the super legato technique. Because we don't have to worry about the challenges of the picking hand, we can create some incredible sequences and runs with a lot of distance in between the notes.
We'll look at arpeggio sequencing and some very impressive blues scale licks that are not that hard but very convincing. We'll keep building idea upon idea so that you can strengthen your ability to change and develop each lick.
Super legato session 4:
FROM LICKS TO ACTUAL MUSIC
This video is packed with phrases consisting of several sequences and licks. It gives you an opportunity to learn how to connect what you've learned into phrases that consists of both fast and slower lines. This technique is not only very effective but it also has a very fluent and distinct sound to it - I'll show you how to utilize that in a musical context.
Most top guitar players are very good at playing outside the basic timing of the music. Some guitarist play outside and are disconnected from the rhythm as much as 80 % of the time when they solo, and this technique is perfect for that. In this session I'll show you how to practice and master this essential skill.
